Responsibilities:
SUMMARY:
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for the management of dedicated customer accounts. This individual will be the point of contact for KGPCo customers. This position offers an individual the opportunity to learn and experience supply chain logistics. The Sales Support Specialist position offers an opportunity for career advancement as well as an opportunity to earn a bonus/incentive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:
  • Research, analyzes and prepares price quotations for customer based on department guidelines to generate incremental profitable business for KGPCo.
  • Provide excellent customer service by accurately responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Learn and maintain in depth knowledge of products and competitor’s industry trends. Remain knowledgeable of vendor products and discounts.
  • Provide pricing and availability quotes to customer and recommends alternate products when appropriate.
  • Serve as a SME regarding order entry and minor quotes, as well as post sales processes. Provide Pre/Post Sales training to New Employees as required.
  • Update and maintain CRM database with customer information.
  • Team with Field Sales, Inside Sales/Customer Care, Product Management and Suppliers to maximize sales efficiencies.
  • Develop knowledge of company policies, systems, and procedures, as well as vendor products and pricing discounts available.
  • Ensure that all order entry, quote and CRM processes are accurately documented, communicated to the Sales team, and posted on KGP Hub.
  • Have adequate knowledge of KGPCo’s website to help customers with self-serve options such as returns, quotes, price and availability, reporting, order entry and order inquiry.
  • Achieve budgeted financial objectives in Revenues, Gross Margin, and Premier Revenue.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by researching and resolving customer returns, customer invoice challenges, vendor invoice and problem credit memo disputes in an accurate and timely manner, avoiding write-offs whenever possible by exploring other options for cost recovery.
  • Establish, prepare, and submit reports to management and/or customers as required.
  • Research and determine the root causes of post sales issues by utilizing available tools as well as collaborating with individuals/departments to resolve the dispute, ensuring that all disputes are updated and coded correctly in CRM to allow for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure all post sales requests are processed according to customer’s needs as well as the best interest of KGPCo.
  • Drive and implement process improvements to increase work efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure we are following and adhering to KGPCo’s Fiscal Policy regarding invoice adjustments and return approval levels.
  • Reduce Customer Complaints by passing along customer concerns to Inside Sales so that the issue can be logged and addressed.
  • Escalate recurring issues found through Post Sales research so that permanent fixes can be put in place to prevent future occurrences.
  • Establish, prepare, and submit reports to management and/or customers as required/needed.
  • Assist in achieving customer satisfaction by improving response times and adhering to established SLA goals.
  • Proactively follow-up with support departments on assigned tasks to make sure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Partner with team and other stakeholders to ensure company polices and processes are well integrated. Celebrate team member successes.
  • Manage departmental TL9000 and ISO responsibilities, ensuring all customer specific processes are updated and accurate.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Manager.
  • Ensure cross functional collaboration on issues through increased communication, ownership and teamwork.

Safety Duties & Responsibilities
:
  • Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
  • Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.
Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
